How to soften a mattress
1. What is a soft mattress?
The softness and firmness of a mattress is largely subjective, but here we will introduce the characteristics of a soft mattress.

■ Features of a soft mattress ■
- Sink into it and embrace your body
- It conforms to the natural curves of your body and moves with you even when you change positions.
- Multiple layers of microfiber and memory foam
- When you get up, temporary body marks remain.
2. Soft mattress match check
What kind of person would be satisfied with a good night's sleep on a soft mattress?
Let's check it out with the match check!
If any of these apply to you, consider a softer mattress.
■ Soft mattress match check ■
- Side sleepers
- Small and light weight people
- People who experience pain in their bodies
1. Side sleepers
If you sleep on your side, an inappropriate mattress can cause you to wake up in pain. This is because sleeping on your side reduces the surface area of your body, which means that weight is concentrated on your lower back and shoulders, leading to poor circulation.
To prevent this, you need a soft mattress that gently conforms to the curves of your body, allowing your protruding shoulders and hips to sink into the mattress just enough to avoid putting extra strain on them.
If your spine is straight, your pelvis is stable, and you can sleep in a natural position without tension, you will be able to get a good night's sleep.
2. Small people and people with low weight
For petite or light people (under 60 kg), the mattress will sink less. This causes the waist to rise and the body to be supported by the buttocks and shoulder blades, which can lead to poor circulation in these areas and cause pain .However, if your hips sink too much, your body will bend and put strain on your lower back, so it is important to choose a mattress that does not allow your hips to sink too much.

Choose a mattress that will help your spine form an S-shape, maintaining a natural sleeping position, just like when you're standing .
On the other hand, a hard mattress may make petite or light people feel like they are sleeping on the floor.
3. People who experience pain in their body
Do you often wake up in pain? If you have pain in your hips, knees, or shoulders, it's possible that you're putting too much pressure on those areas while you sleep.
In that case, choosing a soft mattress will gently encase those areas and help you get a good night's sleep.
If you feel that a soft mattress doesn't suit you, please check out the " Firm Mattress Match Check" released on Friday, September 6th .

4. How to soften your mattress
If you find your mattress too hard, you may be able to adjust it to make it softer.
[1] Rotate
Try rotating your mattress.
Try rotating it 180 degrees, swapping the top and bottom (head and feet), or checking with the manufacturer and if possible, try flipping it over.

You may find that the other side feels softer. We recommend rotating the pads about once every two months.
[2] Add a soft topper
Try adding a soft mattress topper to your mattress. A topper is a piece of bedding that you place on top of your mattress to improve your sleeping comfort.

It is about 5cm to 10cm thick, so small people, light people, and children can use just one sheet like a futon.
Toppers are cheaper and easier to use than mattresses and can effectively soften your sleeping experience.
