ZINUS JAPAN has signed an annual sponsorship contract with top mixed martial arts athlete Makoto Shenryu effective December 27, 2023.
How ZINUS came to sponsor Makoto Shinryu
Makoto Shinryu, who will be competing in the main event at RIZIN.45 on New Year's Eve, will be competing in a title match for the inaugural RIZIN flyweight belt.
ZINUS deeply sympathizes with Makoto Shinryu's attitude of taking on the world, as he holds belts in both Japanese and American organizations and continues to broaden his horizons. ●Please tell us your honest thoughts about your partnership with ZINUS.
I am extremely honored to be partnering with your global company, which has operations in 20 countries and continues to compete on the world stage. I also aim to be active on the world stage in the future , and I will do my best to become a player who can compete and succeed all over the world, just like your company!
●Why were you interested in ZINUS?
When competing in the intense contact sport of mixed martial arts, I place great importance on effectively relieving fatigue . I was looking for a mattress that I could use at home, at the match venue, or anywhere else, and when I came across your company , which offers a wide variety of mattresses in various firmness and thickness, I immediately contacted them.
●How important do you think sleep and recovery are to your training?
Neglecting recovery and sleep will not only affect your condition during matches and training, but will also have a major impact on your mental state, so I believe these are the most important factors in training and winning matches .
●Is there anything you do to ensure you get good quality sleep?
I'm usually a night owl and often have trouble falling asleep, so I try to avoid caffeine as much as possible and instead take supplements that help me fall into a deep sleep .
●Do you have any particular preferences regarding your sleeping environment or the bedding you use?
When it comes to bedding , I like memory foam pillows and mattresses . They sink in and feel like they conform to my body no matter what position I'm in, allowing me to sleep soundly.
●Please tell us about your future goals and motivations in martial arts.
I will definitely become the first RIZIN flyweight champion and become the main character of RIZIN! One day, I will represent Japan and fight against the world and reach the top, so please support me!
